1) Decide what you would like shown and what type of  style

  1. Do you want to show the life of those involved as years have gone by?

  2. The years projects but with no particular order?

  3. If you only want video, is it the entire video or only parts you want?

2)  Think of what type of slide show would you like

  1. * calm, slower paces

  2. * face, full of action

  3. * somewhere in between

3) About how long will the slide show be?

  1. Short & sweet - Usually for websites - about 1-3 minutes

  2. Average length - 5-15 minutes - most common timing

  3. Longer  - 15 - 25 minutes. Commonly used to show those projects

  4. accomplished all year or perhaps includes longer pieces of video.

  5.

4)  Choose pictures, videos, and music/voice

Average is 8-10 photos per minute. Videos? It all depends on what

you would like copied. Choosing the right music is a must. You must

own each song to comply with copyright  laws.

If available, I can purchase songs on your behalf and add the

price to your package. Your own narration or voice- overs can also be

used. Our own voice narrative provides that professional sound for

     your website.

5)  Get chosen material to us by hand, mail, or email

For website projects, our voice director, if used, will work directly

     with you.

6)  Captions

Captions can be put anywhere. Sometimes it takes seeing the rough

draft before the perfect thought or quote comes to mind but most

likely you will want a few at the beginning. I have already included

these in the price so you can have fun adding what you want when

     and where.

Most of your thinking is now done and our job begins. We will make sure we clearly understand what it is you want before we take over the rest of the project. A rough draft is then put together that you can see and decide if you want to add or take anything out. Many times other pictures or thoughts come to mind once it is viewed which allows the final product to be just what you want.

It’s great to throw in creative pieces here-and-there.

Example: If the man who’s retiring always says “Get the camera” when it's his turn to golf, the designer could make it look like he’s saying those words in that picture of him holding his golf club. Or how about a golf ball smoothly flying across the screen.

Other extras will also show up. I have yet to find other slide show designers  who offer these type of extras like...

  1. -watching hearts crossing over the screen as that cute couple show off those new wedding rings.

  2. -Santa’s face is replaced with your Grandpas’ face.

  3. -Make it look like your grandchild is really sliding down that water slide.

  4. - Totally original pieces will bring about many smiles.

Many times photos do not take up all the space on the screen. Many times black backgrounds are perfect but other times,  a calm yet colored background really helps.  The designer will add that perfect  pizazz.   Frames, boarders, and more extras are added in just the right amount. Not too many or too few.
